The school was founded in 1989 by artist Director Anita Gilray B.A., B.F.A. Beginning as a grassroots endeavour in our beautiful Blue Mountains the school boasts over 3,500 graduates, its hallmark feature being small classes of not more than ten students per instructor. We challenge to reconcile historical archetypes with modern dynamics of good aesthetic application. Located on the crystal shores of Georgian Bay in the all-season resort center of Collingwood, Canada ninety minutes north of Toronto. We offer beginners and advanced students a customized flexible schedule to exchange ideas in outdoor landscape and studio technique. Some seek recreational objectives and for others the emphasis is placed on their of an individual portfolio in preparation for top ranking graduate schools.
